Shipping & Returns
Design & That offers shipping of all products listed on our website to anywhere in the UK. We work with a network of shipping agents, to ensure that we can offer you the best possible price and service. If you have any specific requirements [e.g. a courier service to a London address], or you would prefer to pick up in store, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

In Stock Items
All items listed as ‘in stock’ on our website, and carefully packed by our team and shipped out to you within 3 business days of purchase [not including weekends and bank holidays]. As soon as your order has been shipped, you will be notified of your expected delivery date [usually within 5 business days of order placement] and sent a live tracking number. Please note, all shipments are managed by a third-party shipper, and Design & That is not responsible for any delays incurred by the shipping company.
If your order is urgent, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to speed up the process as much as possible.
Made to Order
Due to the intricate craftmanship involved in the design and production of the products we sell online, many of them are ‘made to order’. They are therefore subject to various lead times ranging between 2 and 12 weeks, which are clearly noted on the website next to each item. Once orders have been received and checked at our warehouse, you will be informed and delivery will be arranged at your convenience.
Please be aware that quoted lead times are estimates only and can be subject to change. Design & That cannot be held responsible for any delays in production, shipment or customs processing.
In the unlikely event that your order has not arrived within timeframe stated at the point of sale, please contact email@example.com, and we will get back to you as soon as possible with an update.
When ordering several items, some may be available sooner than others. If you would like to arrange delivery of partial orders, please be aware that this will incur additional delivery fees.
Please check the dimensions of space and openings such as doors, stairs, corridors and ceiling height. Design and That can not take responsibility for any goods that fail to fit into a property at point of delivery. Any specialist delivery arrangements should be flagged with us, prior to purchase.
Highlands and Islands deliveries are not included in the Mainland UK charges or any free delivery offers, and may be charged at an additional fee, so please check prior to ordering.
All delivery charges are calculated at checkout. Standrard deliveries are to the door only. A two-man delivery service is available for larger and bulky items [additional charges may apply]. Please note, countries outside the EEC may incur customs or duty charges upon delivery. This charge will depend on the country, and as these charges are beyond our control, Design & That cannot accept any responsibility for them.
Please note that as many of the items we sell are made to order, especially for you, they can be subject to slight variations in colour and finish. Natural materials such as wood, leather or marble may differ slightly in appearance, or develop natural patina. Upholstered items, rugs and textiles may be produced in different dye cycles, which means that sometimes identical products could vary.
In stock items bought in store may be returned back to the store for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. Items may be returned for exchange within 28 days of purchase.
In stock items purchased online can be returned for a full refund within 14 working days of delivery.
Returns are at customers' own expense and we strongly recommend using an insured signed for service. Returns received in new, unused, perfect condition [in the original packaging] will be credited to the original payment method [credit or debit card], excluding delivery costs, within 7 working days. International returns are at the customers expense, and Design & That cannot accept any responsibility for any damages made in transit.
In the unlikely event that an item arrived damaged or faulty, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can help to resolve the issue. We recommend that you check your delivery as soon as it is received.
Please note, any items that are ‘made to order’ cannot be returned. These items are made especially for you, and as we do not hold stock of these items, they cannot be returned.
Discounted, ex-display or vintage items are non-returnable. They are ‘sold as seen’ and so we strongly recommend coming to view the products in store prior to purchase. If you require any further information about a product or need to see more imagery, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
